Our Founder’s Journey

Bruno Justo: A Visionary

With the purpose of bringing beauty to people’s bathrooms in an easeful way, Muraflo was founded by its CEO Bruno Peñaloza-Justo in 2011. But our story began several years earlier. As a Peruvian-American pro-surfer and surfboard builder, turned business professional, turned inventor, Bruno always enjoyed the challenge of solving problems, designing beautiful solutions, and combining seemingly unconnected things.

Innovative Solutions

A New Approach to Shower Pans

In the mid-2000's, he combined his knowledge of surfboard manufacturing with home construction to envision a new method of making tiled shower pans and walls. No longer would homeowners and developers need to endure the messy processes of construction, waterproofing, tiling, and grouting carried out on site. Instead, they could receive a fully made pre-tiled shower pan or shower wall ready to be fitted into any bathroom.

From Invention to Reality

Invention became reality, and our products were engineered, tested, manufactured, and installed in Peru and Hawaii from in the last 2000's. This journey culminated in the founding of Muraflo as a Californian company in 2011. Since then, Muraflo has been manufacturing pre-tiled shower trays, walls, shelves, and niches, partnering predominantly with American companies to source essentials like mosaic and tile.

Today, we have refined our offerings to focus exclusively on tiled shower pans, ensuring that all homeowners can experience the joy of a real tile and mosaic shower pan in their bathroom.
